Moose Lake Resort has been a family enterprise for five generations. Since 1946, award-winning fish have been caught in the lake, including walleye, northern pike, crappie, sunfish, bluegill, perch, and largemouth bass. Accommodations consist of twelve cabins with lake views. Each cabin comes with a charcoal grill, a private dock and boat, picnic table and fire pit. The 100 acre resort area encompasses a sandy beach, a lodge for socializing (with a kitchen available), a teen room with pool table and games, a play area and sandbox for children, and a conference room with white boards, a projection screen, and wireless service. Activities available at the resort include water sports such as swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and sailing, in addition to hiking and biking, bird watching, and on-site games like volleyball, horseshoes, and three hole golf. The nearby towns of Bemidji and Blackduck offer additional sporting, entertainment, cultural, and shopping opportunities. The Chippewa National Forest is home to bald eagles and over 200 other winged species. The Pennington Bog Scientific nature area is an excellent place to see rare orchids, lilies, and the showy lady’s slipper which is the state flower. The resort is ideal for weddings, corporate retreats and family reunions, and is open for reservations from April through mid-October.
